How Well Do You Know Your Meat? 🥩

The Circle Of Life ❤️

Today on my Homestead, I am getting ready for the lambs to be processed for meat.

I know how they were treated and what they ate. I know they were not given any weird antibiotics or vaccines.

They will feed us well and I am so thankful for their lives.

Knowing your farmer ensures that you would know these things about your meat as well.

If there is a sense of insecurity in the grocery store, then you’re not alone.

Do you have access to raise and take care of livestock? Then go for it! Start where you are at, start small. Don’t let fear stop you.

Becoming closer to the food we eat is LIFE. Being so close to the Circle of Life is a magical process to witness.

FOR EXAMPLE:

Our lamb babies were born in the same paddock, on February 26th, where last year’s sheep harvest took place.

Where their blood was spilled in death, new life was born and blood was spilled in birth.

A lamb chop from Sprouts flown in from NZ is good, but it just doesn’t beat grass-fed lamb grown right in your backyard or local farm.

Sincerely, Carlisle Bee.
