A Tribute to Holy Week

A Lamb Led to the Slaughter

A Lamb Led To The Slaughter

As we enter Holy Week 2024, let's remember the true meaning of Easter and why we celebrate.

Reflecting on the Lamb that was slain and Risen, I have decided not to let this week go by unintentionally.

I wanted to share my Free Holy Week Guide that will connect you to Jesus in a deeper way this week leading up to His Resurrection.

In it, you will find daily prayers and snippets of what happened each day from Passover, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. Holy Week Guide.pdf

Here is a sneak peek including my thoughts and prayers for Palm Sunday and Monday.

I titled this newsletter, "A Lamb Led to The Slaughter" because Jesus willingly laid down his life, fully aware of his death at hand.

After knowing what it is to lead a lamb to their death, it is such an honor to be able to understand and partake in the meaning of Sacrifice.

I led my sheep to their death, only for them to be glorified in the process of being able to eat them for nourishment.

A part of me feels as if they somehow knew that that was their last day, and they were fulfilling their purpose.

As I picked the rosemary twig, off my rosemary bush to flavor our first lamb chops, I also thanked that herb for giving its life so I could enjoy the meat.

I felt as if the rosemary twig responded within, "Of course, that is my purpose."

I know edible plants and animals have a purpose beyond living for us to eat them for nourishment, but I also feel they know it's their calling.

This was why I connected the dots how I did when Jesus cursed the fig tree.

Sure, it may have been a lesson with a deeper meaning for the Body of Christ, but I also think Jesus knew that the tree wasn't willing to give a little bit of life and energy to give fruit.

If I am wrong, then hey, there's no harm in thinking outside the box.

Sincerely,

Carlisle Bee.
