The Reality of the Chicken You Consume 🧐
My Experience With Raising Broilers Conventionally 😞

Welcome to the Carlisle Bee Homestead Newsletter.

Continuing into the next chapter of my homesteading journey, was in 2021.
I enrolled in a community college ag. science program.
Although I graduated with an Associate Degree in Agriculture…
I was taught a lot of the conventional ways of agriculture.🤨
It was there that I experienced the mistreatment of broilers which we raised and processed as a part of our lab.
The living conditions of these meat chickens were horrendous which made them sick.
A lot of them died from infection and unsanitary living conditions.

These poor chickens:
lived in their filth,
never ate a blade of grass, not saw the sun,
and some were unable to walk due to the rapid growing rate they were bred to grow.
Fed mainly corn and soy, the meat offered very little nutrient value when eaten.
In the end, these broilers were processed and prepared for people to eat for a school fundraiser.🤯
Unfortunately, this is how Factory Farmed chickens are raised for Americans to eat all the time.😭
After seeing how poorly managed these birds were,
I vowed to never eat or support chicken raised and sold like this. 😔🙋♀️🙅♀️
